ArchiTrends – innovations in architecture

“ArchiTrends” is the slogan of this year’s series of inspiring architect conferences, during which our company has presented our newest solutions.
One of those innovations is the introduction of narrow profile variants; this is a direct response to a trend among architects to design large glazed constructions with barely visible frames. The Ponzio PF152 Slim variant is one such solution with “industrial” mullions with an internal width of 15 mm. The Ponzio PE78N system offers a narrow profile window solution with the visible width of the floating mullion connection in a two-sash construction of just 90 mm. The sliding systems contain a wide array of solutions aimed at maximising the amount of sunlight let through by large-dimension (up to 8 sashes) doors. These include 90° angle sash meeting stiles which visually enlarge spaces in which they are used as well as full glass corners. The newest solution in the Ponzio SL1600tt system is a reduced, narrow “central mullion”, which increases the size of the glazing. Another solution that allows a seamless transition from interior spaces to the outside (e.g. a patio) are folding patio doors, available in all PE systems, opening both to the inside as well as the outside with a low threshold.
Another group of innovations introduced in close cooperation with architects are bespoke solutions, designed with specific projects in mind. Those include nonstandard façade finishes, such as: vertical and horizontal line variants, decorative cover profiles, LED lighting mounting etc. Many innovations have been introduced in in the Ponzio Sun Protect louver system: new cross-sections, dimensions , automated positioning systems. Louver systems are used as decorative elements while also allowing significant energy savings, which in turn result in decreased building operation costs.
A completely new solution is a glass guard rail system mounted in window frames. According to construction regulations, all French windows openable along their full height require a guard rail installed on their external face.
